In early spring of 2007 I decided to quit my job, sell my house along with nearly everything else that I owned, and to live out of my car while traveling the country. These are my stories (and pictures) of life on the road.

Quick Update

I just got back from a 4 day bicycle trip in the San Juan Islands and after catching up on e-mails I'll be heading to Seattle for the day and will catch a Mariners game this evening. I'll update more in a day or two when I get a little time.

For now though I'll share a few things about having a shaved head:

1: It feels weird

2: It feels good to rub

3: It's cold

4: Stuff sticks to it like velcro. Your shirt doesn't just slide over your head anymore and it's harder to turn your head on the pillow

5: It's very prone to sunburn right after you shave it for the first time and if you burn it bad enough it blisters and gets all pussy

The burn wasn't as painful as it sounds though. It did hurt pretty bad at the end of the second day but definitely not the worst burn I've ever had; it feels fine now though it is a little “flakey”

You look more like a "force to be reckoned with" having a bare dome. Especially when you aren't smiling.

You've reached the end of the page but that's not the end of the stories. If you want to read more (and who wouldn't!?) then click on the archive links to the right hand side of the page. They're listed by month; the adventure starts in May.

The February archives aren't actually from this trip but are previous adventures I've had, which are worth reading as well.
